Home Visit Program for International Students Accepting Applications
What is the “Home Visit Program for International Students?”
In the program, we will introduce you to a Japanese family who is interested
in spending time with an international student. Activities
with the family vary from home visits, to enjoying a meal and
conversation, to any other types of activities you and your
family plan. Through this program, you will be given the opportunity
to develop friendships and deepen your understanding of Japan.

- Eligibility: must be an international student currently enrolled at a college or university in the Yamaguchi Prefecture.
- Number of applicants: Up to 20 people per region
*Note that we may not be able to accommodate all applications. - Program Duration: Jun. – Sep, every year (Standard)
*We hold a ceremony at the end of every May, to introduce you to your host family. Following the ceremony, you and your host family will have the opportunity to discuss exchanging plans. - How to apply: fill out and turn in a designated application form in person
to your college or university’s International Student’s Office.
Forms are available at college or your university’s International
Student’s Office, YIEA, etc.
You are required to attach a copy of your student ID. (If you are not given any, you need to be identified as a student at your college or university.)
